Benjamin Pettit, Esq.
EVP, Corporate and Legal Affairs
Benjamin graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.A and went on to get his law degree from Roger Williams School of Law. He's a member of the MA, RI and OK state bars and he holds title licenses in DC, NY, OK and RI. Benjamin is also a Rhode Island Continuing Education Instructor. He loves nothing more than approaching a problem, solving it and helping other people learn something in the process. He's patient and calm and it shows through every time he tackles a new challenge.
As VP of Corporate and Legal Affairs, Benjamin is responsible for overseeing corporate compliance with all laws, rules and regulations at both the state and federal level. He establishes standards by which we conduct our business so that we are in compliance with industry rules, insurer requirements and lender instructions. Benjamin heads up our risk department, working closely with our most seasoned title professionals and serves as the ultimate escalation point for all areas of transactional risk for Equity.
Any time Benjamin's not at Equity National Title educating folks and solving hard problems, he loves being with his family, coaching baseball, reading and working out.
